I have a question regarding products that are created by scanning assets (through the agent or through other scanning).
Is there a way to rename the scanned products? Our accounting team uses out asset information for reporting, and they prefer more descriptive product names than some of them. Although I can rename the product name it scanned in as, as soon as it gets scanned again it reverts to the previous name. Is there anyway to work around this?
For example, my laptop scans as "Thinkpad T420s". Although I know what that is, they would like it to say something more descriptive, like "Thinkpad T420s Laptop". If I rename the entry for Thinkpad T420s to Thinkpad T420s Laptop, it just creates a new entry on it's next scan.
Any help would be appreciated. I want to sell our accounting team on having us scan assets and report to them.
