Curious then, if i provide a value for something like UDF_CHAR3 directly in the workstation_fields table what else needs to be updated? I've not run into any issues where a value in those columns are not present elsewhere in the product. My concern is mailing about creating the initial row in that table upon creation of the Workstation in Service Desk.
For example, when using the API to "AddWorkstation" is there any reason why the associated row in Workstation_Details isnt created? It appears that when you manually edit an asset and provide a value for a custom field is when it is created in that table. There is tremendous value in this table so if manually editing the SQL isnt supported when can we get access to this via API (or another supported method).
