Re : weird login

Please add the ServiceDesk Plus URL to the local sites(Tools-> Internet Options-> Local Intranet-> Sites) in your browser and check if the issue persists.

You get a window's login prompt if the SSO is not configured correctly. If you are not using Pass Through authentication you can disable it from under Admin-> Active Directory.
