Yes, you can change the Product in the Purchase order without reopening the PO.

Execute the query given below in new query report under reports tab and send me the output

select * from componentdefinition where componentname like '%_____%'

Change the _____ with the Product name which you want to change in the PO.

You can edit the Product name Misc under admin-->Product.
